Meet the 2025 COU Visionary Scholarship Winners
Each Odyssey of the Mind season we award one $5000 scholarship, two $2500 scholarships and five $1000 scholarships. Every season, winners create new videos to show creativity and innovation in action.

Elizabeth Szlemko, Arizona
$5,000 Visionary Scholarship Recipient
Elizabeth has participated in OM in the state of Arizona since 2018 as a team member. She has taken on the challenges of many of the problems but has found a place in problem four structure the most. Elizabeth plans to attend the University of South California for the area of study in Mechanical Engineering.
Viraj Gupta, North Carolina
$2,500 Visionary Scholarship Recipient
Viraj has participated in OM in the state of North Carolina since 2016 as a team member. He has taken on the challenges of many of the problems but has found a place in problem five, drama, the most. Viraj plans to attend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in the fall for the areas of study in Finance and Film Studies.
Aida Saake, North Carolina
$2,500 Visionary Scholarship Recipient
Aida has participated in OM in the state of North Carolina since 2016 as a team member. She has taken on the challenges of many of the problems but has found a place in problem three, classics the most. Aida plans to attend Georgetown University for the area of study in International Relations/Foreign Service.
Troy Keddy, Maine
$1,000 Visionary Scholarship Recipient
Troy has participated in OM in the state of Maine since 2017 as a team member. He has taken on the challenges of many of the problems but has found a place in problem five, drama, the most. Troy plans to attend university in the fall for the area of study in Film/Video Production.
Henry Levy, Florida

Henry has participated in OM in the state of Florida since 2014 as a team member. He has taken on the challenges of many of the problems but has found a place in problem five, drama the most. Henry plans to attend the University of Florida for the areas of study in Nuclear Engineering.
